Weird

There’s been a lot going on lately.  I’m being dragged into court, but I can’t say anything about that for obvious reasons.

I finally narrowed down where a lot of my phone calls are coming from.  I haven’t mentioned it before for whatever reason but over the last 3-6 months I’ve been getting hundreds of phone calls from Sun Room Pro, Allentown Windows, and somebody named DE Stoffey.  Stoffey is apparently the owner of Sun Room Pro and Allentown Windows.  I’ve never answered because I don’t need windows or a sun room.  But this is borderline harassment.  I’m never home to take the calls but seriously.  I see it on my caller ID, 4-8 times a day they call.  Get a clue!

Anyway, I had a crazy dream last night, and it’s really bothering me.  Justine and I watched the Bourne Identity on Saturday and The Bourne Supremacy last night and something just didn’t feel right.  After the movie ended we went to Wawa and on the way home we drove through Doylestown.  There were five officers with a whole group of kids cornered and the street pretty much blocked off.  Odd as that was, later while Justine and I were watching The Bourne Supremacy, we kept hearing LOUD thumps from outside.  When I say loud, I mean we heard them over the movie.  So loud you could feel them.

I heard the first one, and paused the movie and listened.  Justine hadn’t heard anything so we continued.  We both heard the second one and go up to look outside.  Now, hearing car doors shut at our neigbors homes isn’t abnormal.  We hear it quite commonly.  This was different though.  We got to the picture window in the office and there was a black car, possibly a Civic, sitting outside the house across the street.  Not abnormal, I’ve seen it there before.

We went back to the movie.  Heard 2 or 3 more slams and I went back to the window to see some guy going inside the home.  I watched for a few minutes to see if I could figure out what was going on then finished the movie.  When the movie ended we noticed a lot of light outside our windows.  When we looked outside, there were four police cars outside their home and a heavy police presence.  We looked to see if the woman who lives there was okay, and we saw her walking around.

We know there’s a younger girl living there with a child.  The best we can assume is that the girl is the woman’s daughter and there was some sort of dispute with the guy in the car.  It was just…off, not right, ya know?

Figures

It looks like WordPress has updated and the new release includes widgets out of the box.  This means my layout (which has a third party widgets bar) will get broken when I upgrade.  I will be upgrading tonight hopefully so look forward to another new layout… Let’s face it though, I’d rather have regular releases than sitting on old software for a year.

It still stinks lol

Quick Rant

You know, day in and day out I sit at work listening to a local radio station.  Mind you, most people understand my dislike for the crap they play on the radio they call music.  But that’s not the focus of this.

Currently the station I’m listening to is running a bracket competition of musicians called the MM-ARCH Madness (heh, very clever) where they play blocks of two bands and the listeners call or text in with their vote as to who moves on.  Metallica is out on round two.  Tom Petty knocked them out.  TOM.  FUCKING.  PETTY.  Not mind you, I’m not much of a Metallica fan anymore, but come on.  The people who listen to the radio never cease to amaze me.  But that’s not the focus of this.

Why?!  OH WHY?!

Do they only play music for 20 minutes then 30 minutes of commercials?  But that’s not the focus of this.

The focus of this is a question.  Just a simple question.  DO THESE FUCKING MARKETING PEOPLE EVER LISTEN TO THEIR FUCKING COMMERCIALS?!?!?!?!?!!!!!1111

Every marketing rep needs to be tied to a chair and listen to their commercial 400 times over the course of an 8 hour day.  Then they need to repeat that for 1 week.  If they haven’t committed suicide by the end of the regime, then the commercial should go to air.  I. CAN’T. STAND. How annoying most of these commercials are.  I would never purchase any product based on a commercial I can’t stand.

“But you remember the product because you hate the commercial for it so it works!” you might say.  Incorrect.  I am less likely to remember something I can’t stand because I have no idea what the hell IT is.  When I dislike it, I either change the channel, turn it off, or tune it out.

In conclusion, I am happy to report that I take pleasure knowing that the advertising company just lost money on me which in turn makes me sad that those lost funds didn’t make it into my pocket. :(
